This type of Bilum originates from the Sepik region. The bush twine used to weave the Bilum is made from 100% natural fibre using the traditional technique of hand rolling plant fibres into twine over the knee. This particular one has been woven into a traditional pattern, the twine has been dyed. Richly accented with a yellow and ivory poms and a tassel. This bag has a different pattern on each side and can be worn either way.
